Nostalgia
In walks uncertainty. The disorientated anarchist. Her sculptured crown swamped
with dreadlocks. Asks for directions. A harem of eyes study her. She amuses some.
No glances are met. They return to their conversations. Gaze at the entrance to the
cafe. More absent expressions flock inside. Away from the season's bitter hold. Inside
they seek the warmth. Reminiscing the lost summer. The smell of heat. Sun against
their faces. It paints their frozen lips. Outside fumes smother the city. Cars crawl
around the square. Drivers throw their anger to the one in front. A cacophony of noises
pollutes the neighbourhood. Pedestrians await the traffic lights. Stern faces. Pale.
Pierced. Tattooed. Couples grasp each other. They kiss. The cold creeps by. Naked trees
pose as the city bathes in its dread. Fearing the days to come.
